The Story of Jen & Deanna
After high school, Jen set her sights on becoming a hair stylist. Her mom, Deanna, encouraged her to pursue college first. Attending college on a scholarship to competitively cheer, Jen studied business. But her heart never strayed far from the salon chair. After graduating, she enrolled in cosmetology school, earned her license at the Rob Roy Academy, and thrived under incredible mentors. A few years later, she asked Deanna to partner with her to open a salon.
In 2009, Jen’s Untamed Salon & Spa opened its doors just a few miles from where it sits today. From the very beginning, it was Jen’s bold vision that shaped the space: fun yet professional, stylish yet approachable, dramatic in all the right ways. She wanted to build the kind of hair salon in Auburn, MA, that made people feel seen, supported, and confident in their skin.
From the salon's energy to how clients are greeted like old friends, Jen’s spirit is everywhere. Deanna continues their shared mission, honoring Jen’s legacy with every appointment, every smile, and every untamed expression of beauty.

Over the years, Jen’s Untamed Salon & Spa has supported causes close to our hearts. From coat drives and Christmas donations to volunteering at Veterans Stand Down and Christmas for 508. One of Jen’s proudest moments was organizing a full day of haircuts to raise money for the family of a fallen police officer.
We’re now laying the foundation for even bigger impact.
